It is that time of year again. The time to show that special someone how much you love them. Personally, I am not a fan of this holiday. Although, I like the idea of having a day devoted to LOVE I have come to believe that love is not a thing of one day but a thing of a lifetime. Maybe, Valentine's should be every day of the year, not just February 14th....
No matter what we want to believe love is a battlefield. Every relationship we encounter in our lives is an ongoing war; there is love, passionate kisses and incredible nights, but there is also lies, cheating and heartbreaks. One thing is for sure, love is, without doubt, painful.
Love is the hardest of all battles in our lives. It breaks us and weakens us. It shows us how far we are willing to go for those we love. It shows us the deepest and most amazing things about ourselves, maybe even feelings we never imagined existed within us.
Love is the most uncontrollable and the craziest feeling of them all
When love takes over, logic is kicked out of the picture, leaving us with nothing but passion, love, jealousy, fear, happiness...It destroys our hearts, but... it can also heal them. Its magic power can break and heal any kind of wound. If you let yourself go, love will do this to you, it will let you heal and start over. It will once again let you be truly happy.
Oh yes! Love is a difficult game, that is why it is so valuable. It can't be found just anywhere, it can't be bought, it can't be stolen ... Finding that special someone will probably be the hardest thing we ever do. I don't know if there is another perfect half for any of us, but what I do know is that when we find love we have to keep it no matter how ugly the battles can get.
Hold on to it very tight and never let go.
