Lennon and Maisy

When I first saw the trailer for "Nashville" I thought to myself "boooring...another show with music...anything new please!?". But after watching the first two episodes, I started to fall in love with the story and its characters but, most importantly, I started to fall in love with its amazing songs. The show is full of artists and two weeks ago, we saw Lennon and Maisy Stella -who play the daughters of Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton- on the show, play their first song on the show: The Lumineers "Ho hey". I love that song when sung by The Lumineers, but, I gotta tell you, Lennon and Maisy's version was amazing!! Together they have such a unique and powerful voice. I hope to see them singing again in the show soon. So today, I dedicate this post to these two special sisters and their music. I wish you the best and good luck!!

Walk on Project

In 2010 The Walk On Project (WOP) was born in Bilbao, Spain. It was created by Mikel and his wife Mentxu for their son Jontxu. Jontxu was diagnosticated in 2008 with a neurodegenerative disease. Since then, Mikel and Mentxu fight against these diseases with music. With the money they have gotten so far from their music, concerts and events they have been able to start two international research projects. Mikel and Mentxu, we wish you good luck! You are an example to follow!

Fireworks in reverse

Have you ever imagined what fireworks would look like in reverse? Australian based filmmaker Julian Tay digitally reversed the 2012 New Years fireworks from Docklands in Melbourne, Australia, and then added some good music ("Moon Behind the Tree" by Serphonic) to make it even better. The result is absolutely beautiful.
I hope you like it!!

Music and movies 2012

And now, a review of the movies and music of the year:

MOVIES: These 10 movies are, in my opinion, the best movies of this year

WRECK IT RALPH: Disney's latest comedy. I haven't watched it yet but I assure you I will very soon. These movies are always the best!

THE HOBBIT: Another adaptation of a book. The Hobbit is for sure one of these year's best movies.

LES MISERABLES: Victor Hugo's book finally adapted! and the cast, crew, music and decoration is absolutely amazing!

LIFE OF PI: A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. I haven't seen it yet, but my sister fell in love with this movie. She said that it was a bomb of explosions.

THE AVENGERS: How many times can we see several superheros join forces to battle evil? The Avengers was a different and awesome movie.

THE HUNGER GAMES: I have actually read all 3 books of the Hunger Games and I have to admit that it's the first time I like how they have adapted a book into a movie. Jennifer Lawrence plays Katnis and a few other legendary actors are in the movie to. Definitely a MUST SEE in 2012.

SKYFALL: James Bond just turned 50! And to celebrate, the newest version of 007 has been released this year. Daniel Craig plays the hot English agent again and Spanish actor Javier Bardem is this year's villain.

THE DARK KNIGHT RISES: the end of Christopher Nolan's Batman saga. Loved everything about this movie. I couldn't stop watching for a minute. The music, the actors, the special effects...amazing! The best part? The ending! It's one of the first superhero movies I watch where the viewer knows what happened to the superhero and has no further questions. BRAVO!

TED: in my opinion, BEST COMEDY OF THE YEAR, Seth MacFarlane is a genius...it doesn't matter how dirty his works are, he always manages to make us laugh out loud! It starts Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and they are awesome together.

THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN: the new version of Spiderman has a hit. Andrew Garfield played a veeery good and hot Peter Parker.

MUSIC: here are the hottest songs of 2012

The best presents in life come from the smallest things in our lives. Never depreciate anything or anyone in your life. Never let go of the things you love because the great things only come once in a lifetime.

L'odyssée by Cartier
The new Cartier film that takes us around the world from reality to fantasy

Charlize Theron for Dior
Ms. Theron appears accompanied by many amazing idols such as Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe. The film was done at "Galerie des Glaces" at Versailles

The 2009 CHANEL film with Audrey Tautou and Travis Davenport. The best part of the film: The ORIENT EXPRESS, for most, this train might seem just like any other train, but for me it is one of those must-se, must-go-to places in life.

extremely loud & incredibly close

A few years ago, in my junior year in high school, I had the opportunity of reading a book called: Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, by Jonathan Safran Foer.
The book is about a boy who loses his father in 9/11, and the boy discovers a key in a vase that belonged to his father which inspires him to search all around New York for information about the key and meet wonderful people.
The book was so good! Truly magical! If, during the holidays, you have some time in your hands, you should read it! I am sure you will like it. But read it soon, because the film will be coming out soon.

the pink panther

Exams are close and I now spend my nights watching interesting movies. Tonight’s choice has been the 1963 original Pink Panther movie. FANTASTIC! It has always been one of my favorite films. It keeps that old Hollywood glam and that easy yet good comedy. I find these old Hollywood classics to be real movies, unlike nowadays, where you find vampires all around...It feels like they come with magic!
I wonder what tomorrows film will be? Any suggestions?
